Vietnam Post granted the Entrerprise des Postes Lao (Lao Post) two 3.5 ton postal vehicles
Within the official working visit of Minister of the Ministry of Information & Communication Nguyen Manh Hung to Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR) from 11th March 2019 to 13th March 2019, Vietnam Post and Lao Post have solemnly held the Hand-over Ceremony of postal vehicles in Vientiane capitol, Lao PDR on 12th March 2019.

These are 02 trucks manufactured by Isuzu, loading capacity is 3.5 tons, designed from the image of the messenger pigeon’s wings and under orange color with white background which are the brand’s color of Lao Post. Lao Post logo is clearly presented at the right side, left side as well as at the back door of the truck’s container in order to enhance the brand identity of Lao Post towards customers. Besides, Vietnam Post logo, logo of express delivery service – EMS and logo of Lanexang Assurance Public Company also appeared in easily seen positions of the truck.

On behalf of Vietnam Post, Ms. Chu Thi Lan Huong, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Post handed over the symbol key to Mr. Phouvinh Fongsamouth, Director General of Lao Post under the witness of Minister of Vietnam Ministry of Information & Communication Nguyen Manh Hung and Lao PDR Minister of Posts & Telecommunications Thansamay Kommasith. This is one of the contents implemented by Vietnam Post under the spirit of Minutes of Meeting of the 1st Joint Working Group Meeting on Posts, Telecommunication and ICT between the Ministry of Information & Communication of the Social Republic of Vietnam and the Ministry of Post & Telecommunication of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR) dated 01st November 2017 as well as to promote the cooperation relationship between the two Postal administrations, contributing to develop the friendship between Vietnam and Lao PDR in compliance with the policy of the Communist Party and the State.
The 02 postal vehicles have 3.5 ton loading capacity painted in the color of Lao Post’ brand identity
Alongside with the handover of 02 postal vehicles this time, Vietnam Post also makes its commitment to support Lao Post on setting up the organization apparatus, constructing model post offices, redesigning the layout of inner province and inter province sorting post offices, supporting numbers of sorting tools/equipments (such as mail sorting basket, hanging board introducing services…). Furthermore, Vietnam Post will also help to hold training programs, improve selling skills of postal delivery services, postal financial services; help to reorganize the production operation and implement marketing programs, market research as well as agree to organize exchange delegations between two postal administrations in order to share experiences. As the results, step by step help Lao Post to concrete its delivery position at Lao market, develop products and services that are possible to meet customers’ demand as well as to improve the life of employees working at Lao Post.
