EMS Viet Nam earns over 70 billion dong profit in 2020

In 2020, total revenue of VN Post Express Joint Stock Corporation (EMS Viet Nam) reached 3,563 billion VND, an increase of 4.3% compared to 2019. The information was announced by Ms. Chu Thi Lan Huong, Chairman of Board of Management of EMS Viet Nam at the 2021 Business Plan Implementation Meeting. EMS Viet Nam also received the Second-class Labor Medal at this conference in the afternoon of December 24, 2020.

Overview of 2021 Business Plan Implementation Meeting of EMS Viet Nam

Despite facing many difficulties and competitive pressures, in 2020, EMS Viet Nam has made efforts to overcome challenges to accomplish many strategic objectives. Notably, profit before tax is estimated at 70 billion VND, up nearly 5% over the set forth business plan and up 5% compared to 2019.

Especially, the success of international EMS services on the whole postal network has brought in the total revenue exceeding 500 billion VND, completing 245% of the plan, increasing 157% compared to 2019.

2020 is also a successful year of EMS Viet Nam with the deployment of logistics services in key provincial posts. The growth rate of logistics services in 2020 reached 117%.

In 2021, to complete the revenue target with an increase by over 31% compared to 2020; EMS will focus on developing new services with unique and distinctive features to improve competitiveness and achieve sustainable development.

In addition, EMS Viet Nam will also promote sales marketing business, deploy competitive solutions by service quality, and at the same time, will review for production innovation, improve processes with IT applications to improve labor productivity and service quality, shorten the time standard of the whole operation process…

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications highly appreciated EMS's efforts in ensuring profitability and workers' lives.

Deputy Minister Pham Anh Tuan made a speech with direction for business development of EMS Viet Nam at the meeting.

To complete the revenue target of 9,000 billion by 2025 and 30,000 billion by 2030, Deputy Minister Pham Anh Tuan commented that EMS should actively adjust production organization, improve network capacity, take advantage of existing strengths, expand market exploitation to improve operational efficiency. Deputy Minister also noted that EMS would became a technology enterprise very soon, both digitalizing applications in operation, sorting and transportation but still maintaining and developing the physical network well.

EMS Viet Nam honorably receives the Second-class Labor Medal of the Government

At the meeting, authorized by the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Deputy Minister Pham Anh Tuan awarded the Second-class Labor Medal to EMS Viet Nam; Emulation Flags of the Ministry of Information and Communications to EMS Viet Nam and to EMS Danang Branch. EMS Viet Nam Workers Union also received the Emulation Flag of Viet Nam Information and Communications Workers Unions.

On this occasion, many subsidiaries and individuals of EMS Viet Nam were also honored to receive certificates of merit and many other awards from Vietnam Post and EMS Viet Nam.
