Accordingly, based on reading the barcode and analyzing the image of the postal items, the system will automatically sort details of postal items to the district and commune levels in the central provinces of Viet Nam with the sorting capacity of up to tens of thousands of parcels per hour. In particular, the system is integrated with other information technology systems, digital map applications Vmap and Vpostcode to build a synchronization process to optimize all operation processes, from acceptance, handling, sorting to delivery of items at the addressees as requested by customers. In addition, the automatic sorting system is also capable of handling various types of postal items with different weights and sizes, suitable for e-commerce goods.

Together with this automatic sorting system, the Central Logistics Center also put into use the equipment and tools to ensure the standardization of the operation processes such as: pallet, forklift, automatic lifting system ... in order to ensure absolute postal safety, accurately connect with mail routes of postal trucks, other container vehicles and large trucks.
A part from investing automatic sorting systems in the South of Viet Nam, at Hiep Phuoc (Ho Chi Minh City), Can Tho, Northeast Sorting Center (Hai Phong), North Central Sorting Center (Nghe An), Northern Logistics Center in Kim Hoa and Quang Minh (Hanoi), Vietnam Post is building an ecosystem of material flow for customers to shorten the delivery time, ensuring accuracy and safety for all customer's postal items and to provide an automated order fulfillment solution for customers. Besides, this helps saving human resources and improves labor productivity across the network tens of times compared to the past.

According to Mr. Chu Quang Hao, President and CEO of Vietnam Post, in order to achieve the revenue target of more than VND 133,000 billion by 2030, along with the orientation of building postal infrastructure, focusing on developing logistics services for e-commerce and Logistics, Vietnam Post continued to implement the plan to develop, accomplish, modernize regional sorting centers, build modern infrastructure to ensure meeting customer needs for sorting and transporting goods items in provinces, cities and regions across the country, especially to be ready to meet the increasing needs and growth rate of the e-commerce and logistics market in the coming time.
Mr. Chu Quang Hao emphasized that the Central Logistics Center in Da Nang city was one of the most important centers to take over the role of sorting, transporting postal items for nine central provinces and cities, a hub to transport postal items to the Northern and Southern hubs.
This automatic sorting system would be a new impulse in the application of technology and digital platforms in postal operation and service quality improvement of Vietnam Post. This is also an essential infrastructure for the implementation of postal delivery, logistics, e-commerce services, gradually meeting the development requirements in the coming period of Vietnam Post and of the postal sector.

In addition to promoting the operation of sorting centers in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi, Hai Phong, in the coming time, Vietnam Post will continue to invest automatic sorting systems nationwide to be ready to meet all requirements of customers in the field of post and delivery services in the domestic and international markets.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Trung, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Council highly appreciated the modernization and automation of the national postal enterprise in postal operation and affirmed that the self-investment for professional and effective operation and the strong implementation of digital applications of Vietnam Post contributed to promoting the digital transformation of Da Nang City.
