Vietnam Post launches a training course “Raising awareness of information security”
On 6th March 2020, Vietnam Post organized a training course on "Raising awareness of information security" for leaders of Vietnam Post. This was the first training course for post office officers on the whole postal network.
The contents of training course help Vietnam Post’s leaders and staff be aware of risks of information security which threaten the activities and assets of Vietnam Post, provide basic knowledge to implement information security in their daily work life and in the digital life; know how to protect information security for individuals and businesses, especially in the context of limited budgets, better cooperate with related units in proposing, approving and implementing projects on information security.
At the training course, lecturers from the Department of Information Security of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) introduced the overview of the information security in Vietnam and over the world, the solutions, tools, common errors and the risks of information security loss. The training course also introduced the standards of information security applied in the world, the information security management system ISO 27001 and the handling of risk on internal information security loss.
Speaking at the training course, Mr. Chu Quang Hao, President & CEO emphasized the necessity of this training program. With this training course, Vietnam leaders and staff will be better aware of their roles in ensuring information and data security of individuals and in Vietnam Post subsidiaries. To ensure the effective training result, Mr. Chu Quang Hao, President & CEO requested all learners to study hard, actively exchange and discuss with lecturers to capture all useful contents of this training course.
