Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Management of Vietnam Post is a Member of National Committee on Electronic Government

Vietnam Prime Minister has just approved the list of members of the National Committee on Electronic Government and leader of Working Group to assist the National Committee on Electronic Government.

Accordingly, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc is the Chairman of the National Committee on Electronic Government, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam as Standing Vice Chairman of the Committee; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications as Vice Chairman of the Committee.

The other members of the National Committee on Electronic Government consist of: General To Lam, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Mai Tien Dung, Minister and Chairman of Government Office, Mr. Dinh Tien Dung, Minister of Finance; Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment; Mr. Phung Xuan Nha, Minister of Education and Training; Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Trong Thua, Deputy Minister of the Internal Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Deputy Minister of Information and communications; Lieutenant General Dang Vu Son, Head of Government Committee Ministry of Defense; Major General Lê Dang Dung, Acting Chairman and General Director of Military Telecommunication Industry Group; Mr. Pham Duc Long, in charge of Member Council of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group; Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Management of Vietnam Post; Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Management of FPT JSC.

The Prime Minister also approved the list of the working group to help the National Committee on Electronic Government, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and communications as the group leader.

There are second group leaders, including: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications and Mr. Ho Sy Hung, Vice Chairman of the Committee for the State Capital Management at Enterprise.

The Minister of Information and Communication also approved the list of members of the working group, establishing working subgroups, mobilizing members and calling for specialists.

The National Committee on Electronic Government has functions of researching and proposing to the government, the Prime Minister on advocates, strategies, mechanisms and policies to create a legal environment to promote construction and development of electronic government towards digital government, digital economy and digital society; facilitating the deployment of the 4th Industrial Revolution in Viet Nam.

In addition, the Committee also helps the Government, the Prime Minister direct the ministries, branches and localities to implement the objectives, duties and solutions of building and developing electronic government towards digital government, digital economy and digital society; helping the Government, Prime Minister coordinate, urge, examine the implementation of strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, schemes, projects, solutions with an interdisciplinary nature of construction and development of electronic government.

At the same time, the Committee give comments on the strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, schemes, projects related to construction, development of electronic government under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister; evaluating the situation, the results of implementation of the tasks, the solutions of development of electronic government; performing other duties as required by the Government and Prime Minister.
