Officially issuing the stamp set: "Tet Nham Dan-The year of Tiger"
The Lunar New Year is the most important traditional festival of Vietnam, imbued with a deep and unique national culture, reflecting the spirit and harmony between people and nature in the cycle of moving world. To welcome the Year of Tiger 2022, on December 1st, 2021, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), Vietnam Post issued a stamp set "Tet Nham Dan".


The stamp set includes 02 samples; 01 block and other attaching stamp products. The stamps have the size of 37x37 (mm), block has the size of 150x100 (mm) with the face value of 4,000 VND; 15,000 VND and 38,000 VND designed by the Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh.
The stamp shows the image of powerful and elite tigers depicted in the style of Hang Trong folk paintings, bringing the message of health, luck and peace to every home. The block background shows the image of the Tiger family happily gathering together to welcome the new spring in the forest of plum, peach, and apricot flowers blooming every New Year and spring.

For many Asian countries, Tiger is a symbol of strength and authority, ranking the 3rd in the 12 animals. The image of Tiger is also known as the Lord of the Forest as well as a sacred animal appearing for a long time and closely associated with the history and culture of the Vietnamese people.

The stamp set is issued as a message that the Tet is sacred moment for all things to be revived. The children who are far from home have the opportunity to gather with their families, celebrate New Year's Eve with the wish of luck, happiness, peace, and prosperity will come in the new year.

In the recent years, Vietnam Post has been made his efforts to study and choose new ways to design postage stamps to satisfy philatelist with beautiful stamps, especially Tet stamps issued every year.
The stamp is provided on the public postal network from 01/12/2021 to 30/6/2023.
