Expanding the implementation of the method of receiving goods at smart lockers

Customers in 12 provinces and cities nationwide can receive goods at smart lockers (Post Smart) of Vietnam Post.

Piloted from the end of July 2021 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. With the desire to increase delivery options, bring a proactive, fast, convenient and safe delivery experience to customers, Vietnam Post continues to upgrade, optimize operational efficiency, expand the scope of installation and operation of Post Smart in Da Nang, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An, Kien Giang, Can Tho.

Unlike previous methods of receiving goods by postal staffs at addresses or at post offices, Post Smart allows customers to actively receive goods 24/7 quickly at the desired points of Post Smart with only using simple function on smart phones and touching screens at Post Smart.

In particular, when the Covid-19 pandemic is still very complicated, Post Smart is considered an effective contactless delivery solution, contributing to ensuring public health safety. With automatic delivery cabinets, customers can receive goods without having to be in close contact with postmen or tellers. The process of receiving goods from entering the code, paying, opening the cabinet, picking up the goods takes place in just a few minutes, helping to minimize the transaction time for customers.

To receive goods at Post Smart, customers can contact the hotline, the phone number of post offices, or in fanpage of Vietnam Post, create changes of addresses on the My Vietnam Post app or ask postmen to deliver at expected locations in case of arising or being not convenient to receive goods. When the goods arrive in lockers, the customer will receive a notification of the OTP code (via text message sent to the phone number) or QR code (via email) from Vietnam Post and enter/scan the above codes to open lockers, pay and receive the goods at the registered point.

Customers' goods will be kept in the lockers for maximum 48 hours when they arrive in the lockers, helping customers completely proactive in arranging the time to receive goods by themselves which is most convenient with their personal schedule. Payment is also simplified for customers via e-wallets by scanning the QR code displayed on the lockers.

Vietnam Post is currently deploying 70 smart lockers, located at central post offices, apartments, commercial centers, office blocks, etc. so that customers find it convenient to receive goods. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are the two key areas have the largest number of smart lockers.
