Vietnam Post and Vietcombank signs Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement
On March 22, 2022, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Viet Nam (Vietcombank) and Vietnam Post held the signing ceremony of the comprehensive cooperation agreement to promote strengths in various business fields of both parties to promote connectivity, long-term and sustainable development.

Accordingly, Vietcombank and Vietnam Post will prioritize using products and services of each other, focusing on promoting cooperation in the following areas: wholesale banking (credit, payment and cash flow management, investment banking services…); retail banking (collection, payment services, introducing customers on account services and banking services of Vietcombank). In particular, both parties will provide payment intermediary services and services developed on the payment intermediary platform such as: e-wallet, electronic payment gateways, electronic money transfer supporting services…
The cooperation agreement between Vietcombank and Vietnam Post is a premise for a long-term cooperation orientation, helping two parties make the most of each party's strengths. Especially, with the customer base using digital services of the two parties, Vietcombank and Vietnam Post will promote the development of the digital economy and digital banking services, meeting the development orientation of each party. In addition, this cooperation agreement also shows the determination to implement comprehensive financial development under the Decision 149/QD-TTg dated January 22, 2020 of Viet Nam Prime Minister, creating favorable conditions for people, especially in rural and remote areas to access basic financial services and modern banking services. Vietnam Post and Vietcombank expect to spread financial and banking services to villages and communes, helping farmers to access digital economic development channels, digital financial and banking products.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Thanh, Chairman of Vietnam Post said that in 2022 Vietnam Post would accelerate the implementation of a comprehensive digital transformation program, in which digital services , e-payment would be one of core services to contribute to ensuring average annual growth target of 35%-40%. The cooperation with Vietcombank would be a good step, contributing to promoting digital financial and banking services through Vietnam Post network to for a strong development in the coming time.
Also according to Chairman Nguyen Hai Thanh, right after this signing ceremony, Vietnam Post subsidiaries would concretize and implement the cooperation contents mentioned in this agreement, develop and implementation action plans to contribute to the development of both parties.
