Vietnam Post attends Forum “Digital Transformation and New Press Business Models”

The forum “Digital Transformation and New Press Business Models” was held by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in the morning, July 11, 2020 in Quang Ninh with the participation of more than 200 leaders from the newspaper agencies and businesses in the technology and communication sector.

Mr. Hoang Vinh Bao, Deputy Minister of MIC and Mr. Le Quoc Anh, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Post attended the forum. The forum focused on challenges to the Vietnamese newspapers to find the new business models in the context of digital transformation and the development of IT applications.

With the largest network and market share in the newspaper distribution sector across the country, at the forum, Mr. Le Quoc Anh, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Post had a presentation with the topic "Creating a platform to collect service fee from e-newspaper readers.

Mr. Le Quoc Anh proposed solutions to attract more readers, including: developing attractive contents, creating new information platform, offering newspapers as services….

Moreover, he also made recommendations to the MIC to build a platform to collect service fee from e-newspaper readers in order to support newspaper agencies.

The forum “Digital Transformation and New Press Business Models” was launched within the framework of the project "Viet Nam Press Development 2020 - 2024" of the MIC, implemented under the motto of socializing resources to contribute to the development of the press sector, facilitating domestic organizations and enterprises to popularize good values to the society.
